Sugaring is a natural method of hair removal that uses a paste made from just three ingredients: sugar, lemon, and water. The paste is applied to the skin and gently removes hair from the root—similar to waxing, but much gentler on the skin.
Unlike traditional wax, sugaring:
Is applied at body temperature (so no risk of burns)
Only sticks to dead skin cells and hair (not live skin)
Removes hair in the natural direction of growth (less breakage and irritation)
Is easier to clean up (it’s water-soluble!)
There can be some discomfort—just like any hair removal—but most clients say it’s less painful than waxing, especially over time. The more consistent you are, the easier and more comfortable it becomes.
Your hair should be about the length of a grain of rice or the length of your pinky nail. If it is your first time, you should let it grow for a minimum of 10 days but ideally a full 14 days!
Most clients stay smooth for about 3–4 weeks. With regular appointments, hair tends to grow back finer and slower.

Yes! Sugaring is ideal for sensitive skin because it’s made from natural ingredients and doesn’t stick to live skin cells, which helps reduce irritation, redness, and ingrown hairs.
Sugaring actually helps reduce ingrown hairs over time because hair is removed in the natural direction of growth. Proper aftercare (like exfoliating and moisturizing) also plays a big role.
Let your hair grow out (about 2 weeks)
Avoid lotions or oils on the area the day of your appointment
Gently exfoliate the day before (not the same day)
Avoid heat (hot showers, saunas, workouts) for 24 hours
Avoid tight clothing on treated areas
Start exfoliating after 2–3 days to prevent ingrowns
Keep the area moisturized
Absolutely. Sugaring is very sanitary—your technician uses clean techniques and never double dips in a way that compromises hygiene.
Yes, you can! Just wear a tampon or menstrual cup. Keep in mind you may be a bit more sensitive during this time.
Yes! Regular sugaring can lead to:
Thinner, softer hair regrowth
Fewer ingrown hairs
Smoother, healthier-looking skin
Every 3–4 weeks is ideal to stay on a consistent growth cycle and get the best results.
Yes! Sugaring is generally considered safe during pregnancy. The paste is made from natural ingredients (sugar, lemon, and water) and is applied to the surface of the skin only—nothing is absorbed into the bloodstream.
Yes, you can continue getting Brazilians throughout pregnancy as long as you feel comfortable. Many clients do! However, positioning may need to be adjusted, especially later in pregnancy, to keep you relaxed and supported.
It can. Hormonal changes may make your skin more sensitive, especially in the first and third trimesters. Some clients notice increased discomfort, while others feel no difference.
Let your technician know you are pregnant
Stay consistent with your appointments (this helps reduce discomfort)
Avoid if you have any skin conditions or concerns—check with your doctor if unsure
Not necessarily. As long as you’re comfortable and your doctor hasn’t advised otherwise, you can continue throughout your pregnancy.
Many clients choose to get sugared before delivery for comfort, hygiene, and personal preference—especially if they’ve been maintaining it already.
