Prepare & Protect
At DaniLi Sugar & Spa, great results start before your appointment and continue long after you leave. This guide is designated to help you prepare for your service, care for your skin afterward, and maintain the smoothest, healthiest results possible. Whether you're visiting us for sugaring, waxing, brows, spray tanning, or permanent jewelry, you'll find everything you need to know right here.
Prepare for Your Appointment
Preparing properly for your appointment helps ensure the best results and a more comfortable experience.
Length of Hair
Hair should be at least 1/4 inch long (long the length of a grain of rice). This is typically 2-3 weeks of growth after shaving
Exfoliate
Gently exfoliate the area 24-48 hours before your appointment. This will help release any trapped hairs
Avoid Products
Avoid applying lotions, oils, deodorants, or other products to the area the day of your service.
Stay Hydrated
Stay hydrated and moisturize regularly leading up to your appointment. This will help extract the hairs much easier.
Wear Loose Clothing
Wear loose, comfortable clothing to minimize friction after your service.
Pain Reliever
If you're sensitive to hair removal and have a low pain tolerance, consider taking an over-the-counter pain reliever 30 minutes before your appointment (if approved by your doctor).
Please Avoid
-
Sunburned, irritated, or broken skin.
-
Retinol, Accutane, chemical peels, or strong exfoliating products on the treatment area as directed by your healthcare provider.
-
Shaving between appointments; consistent hair growth leads to better results.
On Your Cycle?
No problem! You can still receive a brazilian service while on your period. We simply ask that you wear a tampon or menstrual cup to your appointment.
